An Imperfect Cadence came about because of my longstanding connection to music. Like many people, I spent my teenage years in a band. We would rehearse for hours, play gigs, tour around etc.

Another source of inspiration was a childhood friend whom had a debilitating hand condition that got worse every time we had some cold weather. They say wrote what you know, so I decided to combine these elements into my lead character, Yvonne Mears.
